Some of the services Advantageware provides are: Large Scale Project ManagementAdvantageware has assisted clients in the planning and management of many large scale projects. We use a various project management proprietary tools and checklists. We carefully identify deliverables and milestones that are used as checkpoints to review the project's progress. We ask the tough questions when reviewing the plan and status reports. If there is a problem or open issue, it is brought to the table as quickly as possible and if required contingency plans In addition, we have performed project audits of current projects to determine status and recommend a course of action. Many of our clients have found that engaging a third party enables issues to be presented and their resolution expedited. Strategic PlanningAdvantageware has assisted numerous companies in developing winning strategic plans. It is important that the planning process fits the company's culture, so the first thing we do is design a strategic planning process that is right for their business. We make sure that all the right parties participate so that that information needed is there when we need it and that decisions can be made quickly. Next we objectively establish where the business stands today and assess the strategic market environment in which the company operates. We then decide how to gain or maintain an edge in that strategic environment; We then facilitate sessions to create a plan. On a an ongoing basis, we assist with implementation and management of the strategic plan and planning process. Business Process ImprovementWhen performing a BPI engagement, Advantageware follows a very structured work approach using a variety of proprietary methodologies and tools. We assess current processes and determine if they add value for customers and the business; develop an "as-is" process model of how processes currently work; create a "to-be" process model of the future enterprise based on best practices benchmarking, process redesign, etc.; based on a gap analysis of "as-is" and "to-be," establish a transition plan to attain the future enterprise; implement the vision. Organization DesignWhen restructuring an organization, it is key to work with the client to understand and clarify the current environment: business strategy and objectives and current organization structure--roles, responsibilities, and relationships. Next we evaluate how the current organization structure supports or impedes achievement of business objectives We then design and implement improved organization structure, supporting systems and methods to monitor effectiveness; clarify what experience, knowledge and skills employees need; and review performance measures and reward systems for consistency with the business strategy. Business Analysis and Requirements Definition StudiesAdvantageware has performed a myriad of studies across industries. Although all the studies are performed using a structured work approach, each is different. Advantageware performs studies in context of each client's situation and makes recommendations that are appropriate for the client. Our mission is to develop and implement solutions that are in the client's best interest. The study deliverables document requirements in context of functions performed, data used, work flow and timings, work product objectives and measures, dependencies, and constraints. Software Package Selection, Installation and IntegrationFirst a Business Requirements Document (BRD) is developed. A formal RFP is developed and a scoring model is created. Each appropriate software product is reviewed and analyzed according to the RFP's review process and scoring criteria. A top list is created and further analysis is performed. This may include reference visits, a "package prototype" challenge where (if possible) some of the required functionality is demonstrated with limited live data, financial reviews, etc. Advantageware also reviews the package's architecture to assess its impact on the client's current and planned architectural infrastructure. The results are documented and reviewed. Recommendations are formulated and presented in the form of a report and executive presentation. Advantageware takes care to make sure that all the costs and risks are identified. TestingAdvantageware has extensive application and end-to-end product testing, and software certification experience. Advantageware has worked with numerous clients to establish testing strategies and platforms and perform extensive testing for a variety of applications in multi-platformed environments. In many cases, we had to ensure compliance to various government and vendor standards and certification rules. Advantageware offers a full range of testing services.
